Meryl Streep is a strong contender for Best Actress for Julie & Julia. She might be nominated for It’s Complicated as well this December. She is this year’s Kate Winslet. Sure winner for Best Actress category. If she wins the Golden Globe, she will get the Oscars.
We Live In Public should be on the doc list.
Betty White from “The Proposal”?!? Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the performance, but I just don’t understand how it could be justifiably an Oscar contender. I take it she is included here because of her age…

It would be nice to see Nicolas Cage getting some love for Bad Lieutenant.
why does the Valentino doc keep moving down?
Sometimes I feel this blog buys into the Hollywood hype too much.
Since August I see Amelia has moved from 3 to 8 to 14 and now 18.
Why do you try to predict so far in advance when the only
gauge you can go on is what the marketing machines tell you?
Emily Blunt is Outstanding as the Lead Role in “The Young Victoria”. She is a force to be reckon’d with in the Oscar Race..
Christian McKay should be on the Supporting Actor list for “Me and Orson Welles”.
Streep will go to supporting for Julia and Julia, and has two
Oscars. Let’s give Oscar to some terrific actresses that hasn’t
one and deserve one: Oscar for Michelle Pffeifer¡¡¡¡¡
Supporting actress to Julianne Mooore¡¡¡ Justice at the Oscars, please¡¡
I keep expecting to see some mention of Kristen Stewart’s performance in The Cake Eaters.
I did find the screenplay sluggish but the actors did a great job, especially Kristen.
I know it’s early, but I’m not getting the Waltz love.
I’m sure he will get nominated, but it doesn’t seem like a
Academy Award winning performance. I’m more inclined to go with
someone like Matt Damon or Stanley Tucci.
