I would be thrilled if Adventureland/Kristen Stewart get
some real recognition.
you are forgetting Jackie Earl Haley’s amazing performance in The Watchmen,
an otherwise terrible film, his performance stood out. He should have won an Oscar for Best
Supporting Actor a couple of years ago for Little Children. Please consider him for
this role, I thought he was amazing.
Even though Adventureland did quite well with critics, I still feel it is an underappreciated film because it did nothing at the box office. On top of that, the film was mismarketed with this “director of Superbad” technique that really did nothing to reflect the true nature of the film. Stewart and Eisenberg are both among the best performances of the year so far.
@ Julian: I completely agree than Haley’s performance is not getting the praise it deserves. It was a remarkable piece of work in my opinion.
